Democrat Glynn Hines sixth District Fort Wayne City Council member called Republicans Retards!
I am wondering what would make someone say such a hateful word as “Retard.” I used to have respect for Glynn Hines, but anymore, with the child like antics he and Karen Goldner have displayed lately my respect is all but gone. I know people with Special Needs, and having been labeled “Learning Disabled” in school, I take it to heart that a “respected” elected official would call someone a Retard. I would like Glynn Hines to apologize at City Council this Tuesday for the use of such an horrendous word!

I certainly don’t agree with Mr. Hines sentiments but they are not surprising. What I don’t understand is why an elected official would go on the internet and post these comments. This shows unbelievable poor judgement from an individual who is making decisions for the city. My teenage daughter is savvy enough to not make this type of error in judgement.
I was in Leadership Fort Wayne with Glynn Hines in 1998-99, along with several other prominent FWers, in politics and out of politics. I can assure you that the consensus among the roughly 30 participants who sat in the presence of Glynn Hines once a month for 9 straight hours was that he is an arrogant, racist, obnoxious buffoon with less intelligence than God gave the average carp. This should surprise no one.
Randy:
I’ve been saying much the same for YEARS, because he happens to now be “our” representative council-PERSON in the 6th district ghettohood.
(and calling him a council-MAN would demean the rest of that specific gender , of which we are both part of)
Amazing how vocal he (never) is about all the SE side shootings.
He only comes out if a POLICE officer shoots a minority.
(Then it’s lawsuit-heaven and mo’ free money from the city.)
And what’s even MORE amazing is that the sheeple down here keep re-electing his sorry butt!
He runs UNopposed…whatta shrub!
Maybe THAT’S why nothing gets done for anyone OTHER than “his” people (and little, if anything is done there as well).
“This is what a democrat looks like”…lol!
Good call, sir.
Bobby, maybe it’s time to to throw your hat in the political arena!! You play well with others, ha!! Hell I’d move into your district just to vote for ya!
Stay safe down there!!
Randy, as a LFW graduate, I find the majority of graduates are racist and egotistic individuals. After my graduation, I have ran into several of them who will not speak to me, because they are too good for me. Sadly, what I noticed is with LFW graduates a drunks in position of power. I highly recall my leadership retreat where the Do It Best HR director was so drunk he hit on every women. The VP of Star who thinks she is holier than now makes fun of every person with a disability, and has stated they should have been aborted. I remember the head of Dupont, at the time, locking her doors of her BMW, and said we are “White. And we will get robbed, if we don’t lock our doors, as we drive down Pontiac Street.” as we went to tour of Vincent Village. I was at a dinner where Becky Hill was in attendance, and overheard her talk about how the young great man, who name escapes me, but is at every downtown event, should have been aborted, and his type should not exit. I remember going to an event for DID, and the several LFW graduates became disgusted, and moaned loudly, when the young man walked in. I am glad I no longer run in the circles of people who are stuck on themselves. Hell awaits.
Why would he use such hate speech as an elected official. The Republicans have several fine experienced and qualified candidates for President. You would think with the names local officials are called, a local elected official would more intelligently why his candidate is better than one or more of the Republican candidates for President. His lack of knowledge of any issues for which his candidate is superior is displayed by his name calling.

Wow. A bigot, a racist and a fool all in one. It’s a political trifecta!
Hines is just bitter because his voice will be meaningless next year with the GOP supermajority on council. Sorry ’bout ya Glen.
What are the requirements regarding a non-profit allowing a political exchange on their property? A signing table at Pilgrim Baptist means that they will be willing to offer that same opportunity to every Republican running for that same office, doesn’t it?
Take note, but take the high road, fellows. I find the context of the story a little bit more interesting.

Here are a set of guidelines for 501(c)(3)’s which wish to continue with that status and assist in getting the vote out.
